Association Coffee is looking for a Trainee Barista to join the team.
Ideally you will have some experience on the floor of a busy café, but more important is a genuine interest in speciality coffee and a desire to develop in that direction. No previous barista experience is needed – you will receive training, covering the practical and theoretical aspects of modern coffee making.
The role begins on the floor, supporting the baristas and learning the specific way we operate a café. After a short while the focus shifts to coffee as we train you from novice all the way through to experienced barista.
The Association serves espresso and filter to the local community in the City, from its two stores in EC3 and EC4. We provide a small menu of baked goods from our favourite East London bakeries, but our main focus is coffee. Beans are from Square Mile with occasional guest roasters.
We aim to be different from other cafes in 2 ways:
You’ll join a team with a strong set of values. These include: consistent production of excellent coffee; immaculate presentation; a positive approach to great customer service; and an easy going work environment.
This is an opportunity to join a focussed and professional coffee outfit, to learn under the wing of experienced and talented baristas, using the very best equipment and exceptional coffee. Because we can impart to you the skills and knowledge you’ll need, we will hire more on personality and attitude than experience. The position is full time, Monday to Friday. The shops are closed on weekends and public holidays (so you’ll keep your social life!).
If you feel you are a fit for the position, please send a copy of your CV with a brief covering letter outlining your interest in the role.
Thee job starts as soon as you are ready.
