Production Roasting Manager Full Time

We’re looking to employ an experienced production roaster to manage our operations in Cornwall. We are looking for a coffee professional with a desire to progress within the industry; working for one of the UK’s leading speciality coffee roasters. The successful candidate will have previously worked as a production roaster, head roaster or in a QC capacity and will preferably have experience roasting on a Loring Smart Roast. The successful candidate must be hard working, driven with an engaging personality and a clear passion for speciality coffee. They must be able to work well within a small team.

Requirements

Oversight of daily production roasting ensuring all roasts are logged through cropster
Daily, weekly, monthly stock management of green coffee, labels and boxes working against sales forecast.
Planning and accurately executing daily coffee logs.
Daily, weekly and monthly upkeep of the Lorings and Diedrichs
Working with Head of Coffee to achieve to achieve set roast profiles consistently.
Working with Head of Coffee executing on limited green coffee buying duties.
Implementation and management of production staffing rota to cover shift work including earlies, late’s and weekends.
Maintaining, cleaning and managing work spaces.
Working knowledge of Health and Safety

Person specification

Preferably qualified with SCA [Intermediate and Advanced in all disciplines] and/or Q-Grader
Experience and success in competition
