Hello! We’re Cricks Corner, a teeny-weeny cafe between Archway and Tufnell Park in North London.
We’re not on a busy high street so have built up customer by customer, one positive review at a time, since 2015. We serve tasty, tasty coffee roasted by our friends at Dark Arts. We serve plenty of food from a concise menu. Our bacon bap is legendary. Poached eggs on avocado toast is another customer favourite.
We’re looking for people who are:
– confident, friendly and helpful
– both a good laugh and a hard-worker
– available to work weekends
– able or willing to learn how to make espresso-based coffees
– keen to prepare, cook & serve great food
We’re a very small team – your attitude should have a massive impact (in a positive way!) on the shop and our beloved (generally-speaking) customers. For us there is nothing more important than good chat and great service – if you tend to shy away or not enjoy talking with customers then this probably isn’t the position for you.
Experience isn’t necessarily essential. Most important is that you have the ability to work hard, be detail-focused and provide great customer service at all times.
– hourly pay from £8 to £9 depending on experience & skill-set
– free staff lunch and hot drinks
– holiday pay included
– an obligation to attend slightly-drunk staff nights out also included
This position is full-time. Shifts will typically be spread across 5 days. Weekly hours will average approximately 35-40 per week.
Email your CV to firstname.lastname@example.org. We’ll look favourably on applications with a strong cover letter telling us why you’d be a great addition to our team
