A rare opportunity to win a position at one of our two Specialty Coffee outlets. We are looking for one exceptional person to join the team either at our super-busy coffee bar in Hammersmith or at our Roastery / Flagship store off Portobello Road. We curate very high quality greens from some of the best specialty focused farms direct and from Specialty coffee importers and roast them in-house to our exacting specifications. Our incredibly talented baristas then bring these coffees to life for our customers’ (and our own!) enjoyment. We work in an energetic and friendly environment with prospects for rapid career advancement. This position would be ideal for a quality-obsessed person who enjoys roasting, brewing and drinking great coffee, interacting with people, and appreciates fast-paced but high-quality customer flow.

In addition to our commitment to helping you achieve and exceed the London Living Wage, we will also be funding your attendance of Barista Hustle and SCA training courses to help you live your coffee dream, with flexibility in working hours to pursue any non-coffee related personal goals. As we are a very coffee focused business (very limited but excellent food menu, no drinks in the evening and we open early and close weekdays at 4pm!), there will be plenty of opportunity to get involved in all aspects of coffee production including cupping, sensory evaluation, green coffee evaluation and coffee roasting.
Based in West London (or within easy reach of Notting Hill / Hammersmith), you will have genuine love for quality food and drink and a deep desire to develop your knowledge and skills further. You will have a high standard of spoken English, with good high school grades and foreign languages a distinct advantage. Espresso dialling-in, latte art pouring, brewing filter coffee, cleaning grinders and efficient workflow should be familiar territory to you. You will get a huge buzz fielding coffee-related questions from customers. You will have demonstrated a can-do attitude, smooth communication, calmness under pressure, efficient organisation and brilliant team-work in your previous work.
